Hoburne Holiday Parks are a long-established name in UK holiday accommodation, offering a collection of scenic coastal and countryside retreats across the South and South West of England. Known for their family-friendly atmosphere, high-quality facilities, and commitment to exceptional guest experiences, Hoburne combines traditional holiday charm with modern comforts. Hoburne approached Broadview looking for a high-performance outdoor shading system to enhance their guest facilities at their Christchurch, Dorset venue. The project required a robust, weather-resistant solution suitable for year-round use, with a custom aesthetic to align with their branding and park environment.

Broadview was proud to collaborate with James Dean Landscape Design to enhance the outdoor space at Bupa Links Care Home in Broadstone.

Phyllis Court Members Club, an exclusive venue established in 1906 set on 18 acres overlooking the River Thames in Henley, Oxfordshire, approached Broadview to create a luxurious, all-weather outdoor area. Known for hosting weddings and events, the club sought to expand its outdoor capacity while maintaining the elegance of its Georgian-style clubhouse.

Broadstone’s smartest new restaurant has been given a continental-style appearance with the addition of a new al-fresco dining area thanks to the Broadview team.

Compton Acres were in need of a dry and shaded space for their incredibly popular café patio, with the structure needing to complement the Italian Villa that sits opposite.

Bayside Cabin located in Stokes Bay, Gosport, contacted Broadview after seeing a local installation of an outdoor structure performed by our team earlier in the year. Its seafront location boasts stunning views from the beach cafe, and has previously won the Hampshire Hospitality and Local Produce Award.

The courtyard garden was an area that the owner of the café felt could be improved with a new shading structure, to accommodate an increasing number of customers.

Returning prestigious client FJB Hotels Group, contacted Broadview to install a new bespoke outdoor structure on their terrace area at The Sandbanks Hotel.

Tapper Funeral Services located in Poole and Hampshire, approached Broadview to provide a bespoke undercover facility that extends their Harbour Lodge cemetery establishment. The building is based in the Harbour View Woodland and Memorial Grounds in Dorset, and needs to blend in with the building and natural surroundings.

Jams Kitchens Ltd located in Hertfordshire, approached Broadview for a partnership to provide a bespoke roof shading solution for restaurant Daisys in the Park in Radlett, Hertfordshire.

Merchant Taylors’ Prep School in Northwood, Hertfordshire wanted to enhance its outdoor learning environment while addressing classroom cooling and solar glare issues.

Founded in 1885, Dulwich Prep London is one of the UK’s leading independent prep schools, educating over 850 pupils aged 3 to 13. As part of their continued commitment to pupil wellbeing and modern teaching, the school wanted to improve classroom cooling, reduce glare, and provide shaded outdoor learning spaces that could be used year-round.

Our experts were contacted by LJI Interiors to install new roller screens for an outdoor shading structure at luxury hotel, The NED, situated in London.

Cherry Lane School in West Drayton, Greater London, recognised the challenge of providing comfortable outdoor learning and play areas for students - regardless of weather. Faced with the need for all‑weather protection and improved classroom comfort, the school sought a tailored shading solution that would deliver on performance, safety and usability.

The Sandbanks Hotel in Dorset, part of the prestigious FJB Group, contacted Broadview to install new awnings and a bespoke outdoor structure on their terrace area.

Having worked with the National Trust on previous projects, we were contacted by their Knoll Beach site in Studland Bay, Dorset as they were looking to create three zones of shading to cover their shop, information hut and discovery centre. 

Rick Stein Restaurants has over 14 establishments around the UK and have always been a loyal customer of Broadview Commercial. They contacted us to install a giant awning to improve the outside terrace space in their Rick Stein Restaurant in Barnes, London. The objective was to encourage diners to sit out on the terrace and continue their dining experience regardless of weather conditions. 

Soho bar and kitchen in Christchurch Dorset is lucky enough to own a stunning terrace at the back of their building directly overlooking the famous ruins on the hill.  A glorious spot on a sunny day, the terrace had so much untapped potential.  Simon Wyatt-Budd, owner of Soho but an architect by trade, saw the opportunity to capitalise on the space and sought Broadview to design and install a system that would offer full protection on wet weather days. However, this area is also a sun trap in the evenings, attracting customers to the venue, so Simon was keen not to lose this appeal. The overall idea was to achieve extra cover all year round and an independent party space whatever the weather, with one of the best views in town. The bar also required cover for smokers in the downstairs terrace area.

Like many forward-thinking business owners in the hospitality industry, Mark Cassidy, owner of The Walnut Tree in Mere, Wiltshire enlisted the help of Broadview to maximise profits in his outdoor terrace area.

Clients often come to me with a similar issue. They have outdoor space with stunning views across cities, coastlines or British countryside, raised off the floor and vulnerable to the elements. I am not just referring to a raised deck 3 feet from the ground, but 7th floors and beyond.  Restaurants and attractions with these types of view are in high demand and so much valuable space is wasted through the winter months and wet summer days. That’s where Broadview come into play, providing workable, revenue generating solutions for everyone. As with many seaside towns and busy tourist spots inland, many activities are outdoors, with Bournemouth attracting tourists for its 7 miles of golden sands.  Can you imagine what happens when it rains?  You’ve got it, the attractions and restaurants fill up fast with customers spending their holiday funds.  It’s just not practical to turn people away because the main building is full and the outside area sits empty.

The Navigator is part of the prestigious Upham Pub Group and offers delicious meals, with a distinct ‘surf and turf’ theme packed with locally-sourced ingredients. They also serve an array of carefully selected beers and wines including their home brewed fine Upham Ales. Being in a prime location opposite the marina and well known for its superb ambience, the restaurant and their rooms are always fully booked.  The owners were keen to capitalise on an existing under-utilised outside seating area. The existing area already had umbrellas in place but this solution limited the use of the space to fine weather. The owners had identified that during busy periods they could fill the restaurant twice over. They were concerned that they were neglecting their clients' needs and limiting their potential where dining was concerned. An area which provides them with their best return. 

Broadview were approached by the owners of the Southsea Beach Café in Portsmouth, who wanted to provide a great dining experience for visitors come rain or shine.

The prestigious Delicious Dining Group were looking to add a feeling of class and comfort to their new outdoor seating area at Banana Wharf in order to maximise their clients dining experience whilst taking in views of the marina. In addition to this they required sun protection to the inside dining room and new signage above the door. Not only did the terrace need to be eye-catchingly stunning as it is the frontage of the restaurant, the solution needed to provide cover, warmth and light. The prominent position of this new restaurant on the well know Poole Quay meant image was key in order to attract new customers from near and far.

Broadview designed and developed a bespoke Sunrain terrace for the Cumberland Hotel in Bournemouth to provide a continental-style al fresco dining experience.

As part of a multi-million pound refurbishment  programme, The Millennium & Copthorne Hotels based on-site at Chelsea Football Club wanted to introduce a continental-style ‘alfresco’ facility to  the former Shed Bar, the Blues Sports Bar, for its  ‘Chelsea supporter’ customers and hotel guests alike.

Hall & Woodhouse are an independent brewer and pub operator with a Tenanted Estate of more than 200 pubs across Dorset, Somerset and Devon, and through to South West London and East Sussex. In anticipation of the introduction of the smoking ban on 1st July 2007, Hall & Woodhouse recognised the need to introduce comfortable external facilities for its smoking and non-smoking customers.

To comply with current EU Health and Safety directives, private medical insurer Standard Life Healthcare Limited appointed Broadview, a leading manufacturer of commercial blinds, to supply and install suitable adjustable window blinds.

With people watching one of Leicester Square’s great attractions, the area’s newest fish and chip restaurant, The Mermaid’s Tail, and the popular Aberdeen Angus Steakhouse wanted to upgrade their outdoor facilities to ensure that customers enjoyed the very best in ‘alfresco’ dining.
