Project Overview
Broadview was approached by the team at Aunt Fanny’s, a Farm Shop & Café on the outskirts of Wimborne in Dorset to help transform their rear decked area into a usable, weatherproof space that would expand dining capacity while staying in keeping with the café’s rustic-yet-modern aesthetic. The goal was to create a seamless transition from the indoor café to the outdoor area, offering guests a comfortable and stylish setting, whatever the weather.
Solution
We specified and installed a Brustor B300 Cabriolet-Style Sliding Roof System, providing 46 square metres of additional covered space – enough to accommodate around 40 extra diners.
This double-motorised retractable roof system measures 7.7m x 6.0m and features a light grey, flame-retardant waterproof fabric, offering practical protection from sun and rain while maintaining a light, airy feel. The aluminium frame is finished in a textured Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016) powder coating for a contemporary look that complements the site’s rural charm.
