Tapper Funeral Services located in Poole and Hampshire, approached Broadview to provide a bespoke undercover facility that extends their Harbour Lodge cemetery establishment. The building is based in the Harbour View Woodland and Memorial Grounds in Dorset, and needs to blend in with the building and natural surroundings.
The Harbour Lodge is a log cabin facility situated in the heart of Dorset, where guests can host a wake after a funeral service. The facility overlooks the Harbour View Woodland that overall creates a peaceful environment. After the initial consultation, Broadview designed and installed a bespoke 10-metre by 4-metre by 4-metre Sunrain awning system for the client. The awning system would be attached to the top of the wooden decked area, to provide a flawless extension to the building.
The Broadview Sunrain rigid terrace frame awning was built with strong aluminium wood-effect framework to seamlessly match the log cabin, and the surrounding woodland landscape. Our team integrated outdoor heating and LED lighting so the client can use these options all year round, and throughout the evening. The terrace frame awning has a waterproof manual green canvas cover with side panels, that protects guests below from the glare of the sun or a passing shower. The roof is fully retractable and remote controlled, which allows the client to easily open or close the system without hassle.
