Broadview partner with Forest Holme as charity of the year

Broadview Shading Solutions who have been established since 1969 have partnered with Forest Holme Hospice as their charity for 2018. 

Opened in January 1995, Forest Holme Hospice is apart of Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and focuses on providing 24/7 specialist care to patients in a peaceful environment, where family and carers can also stay. The hospice's nurses and doctors provide individual care to each patient, that is tailored to their physical and psychological needs. Forest Holme Hospice has been running for 23 years, and has been offering a tranquil environment for patients with advanced cancer, and other life-limiting illnesses such as Motor Neurone Disease, other neurological conditions, heart failure, renal failure and respiratory illness. The hospice palliative and end of life care is provided to over one thousand local people in Dorset every year. Every fundraising attempt is vital to support Forest Holme Hospice for them to continue their hard work to provide comfort for their patients. 

Hannah Parsons, who is Fundraising and Communications Manager at Forest Holme Hospice Charity, is thrilled with Broadview’s participation in fundraising for the charity. “Hearing that Broadview was keen to support us this year was fantastic news. Without the generous backing of local companies, our fundraising would be so much harder. We already have some really exciting events planned for 2018, which I’m confident Broadview will support with enthusiasm!” 

One of the leading interior, exterior and vehicle shading providers in Poole and Dorset Broadview, have close ties with the charity as a previous member of our team was cared for in the hospice. Broadview recently visited the previous colleague, and discovered more details about how Forest Holme Hospice expertly cared for them and their illness. When deciding on Broadview’s new charity of the year it was an easy decision for everyone in the team, as they had wanted to show their support for the charity for a while. Mark Pratt, Director at Broadview stated, “Our staff are a charitable bunch that are always up for a challenge so I’m sure that as well as helping raise funds, we’ll have some fun along the way.”

Furthermore, in order to raise as much money as possible for Broadview’s new charity for 2018, we have formed a new internal charity committee. The charity committee will be in charge of future fundraising events and activities, including dress down sales, bake sales and sporting challenges.
